Privacy policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal information.

Draft for client and legal review — not yet approved. This notice explains how Morecambe Football Club (“we”, “us”), trading as Christie's at Morecambe FC, uses personal information when you enquire about or book an event. [Legal entity name, registered address and company number to be confirmed.]

What we collect

  • Booking and enquiry details: name, email address, telephone number, postal address, company or group name, event, date, number of guests and any notes you give us.
  • Guest details: names of guests and their meal choices, added by the lead booker.
  • Dietary and allergy information: this can reveal health information, so it is shared only with our events and kitchen teams, is never used for marketing and is deleted after your event.
  • Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal. We never see or store your full card details; we keep a record of amounts, dates and payment references.
  • Technical information: basic logs needed to keep the website secure (for example, to prevent abuse of the booking form).

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • To take, manage and deliver your booking, take payments and send confirmations, invoices, receipts and payment reminders — performance of a contract.
  • To cater safely for allergies and dietary needs — your explicit consent, which you can withdraw (we may then be unable to cater for the requirement).
  • To reply to enquiries — legitimate interests / steps before a contract.
  • To keep accounting and tax records — legal obligation.
  • To send news and offers — only with your consent; you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

Our payment providers (Stripe, PayPal), our website hosting and email providers, and — when we contact you by text or WhatsApp — our messaging provider (Twilio). They act on our instructions. We do not sell your information.

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept for six years for accounting purposes. Dietary and allergy information is deleted after your event. Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after 12 months. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

The website uses only the cookies needed to make it work and to take payments securely. [To be updated if analytics or marketing cookies are added.]
